A multi-ribbed belt, also known as a poly-v belt, is designed to transfer energy efficiently in various machines. This type of belt is made with longitudinal ribs that give it a combination of flexibility and high strength. The multi-ribbed belt has a power transmission efficiency of up to 98%, which means that almost all the energy sent through it is transferred directly to the machine. It can withstand extreme temperatures from -35 °C to +130 °C and works well at high speeds and in demanding conditions, where the ratio between the pulleys can be as high as 1:40.
The flexible construction makes ribbed belts particularly suitable for small pulleys and machines with limited space. They are also quiet as they are designed to absorb shock and vibration, making them ideal for noise-sensitive applications. Ribbed belts are used in a wide range of equipment such as power tools, compressors, household appliances and floor scrubbers.

The belts are made of durable neoprene rubber or polyurethane ( PU ) and are reinforced with fiberglass for extra durability. Standard widths vary from 2 to 50 ribs, and the price of ribbed belts depends on the number of ribs. Each profile has a specific distance between the ribs, ensuring precise power transmission.
Ribbed belts are also available with special coatings such as linatex, sylomeer, correx or celloflex to meet different needs.
