Round Belts & PU profile belts
At FEC Consulting we sell a wide range of extruded round belts in PU for applications within transport and power transmission. Round Belts are available in different hardnesses and diameters from Ø2 to Ø20 mm and can be manufactured in special dimensions and assembled into an endless belt on request. They are sold with either a smooth or rough surface. Round belts are used in many industries, especially in the food industry, as they are resistant to chemicals while also being able to withstand both high and low temperature conditions. Their elastic properties also make them ideal for powered roller conveyors as well as for light transport and packaging applications.
For applications with high loads and long belt lengths, we recommend using a reinforced round belt. We sell a wide range of reinforced profiles, which are manufactured with a reinforcement of your choice. This helps to increase the tensile strength and extend the life of the belt. Reinforced round belts are manufactured in durable PU or TPE material, and depending on the application, they are available with polyester, aramid (Kevlar), steel or weldable PU glass fiber reinforcement. Several of our reinforced profiles are also stocked with a center hole, so that round belts can be assembled with a nipple. We also sell hydrolysis-resistant and metal-detectable profile types.

Pruning
The ends of the V-belt are cut at a 90 degree angle using BEHAbelt 's angle pliers AS02.

Step 2. get std loan
The clamps, e.g. FZ01 Vario or FZ02, are mounted on the ends of round belts to ensure correct fixation during welding.

Step 3. welding
The ends are welded together, e.g. using. BEHAbelt 's EErgo paddle welding tool or BEHAbelt 's Multi TC welding tool. TPE profiles are welded at a temperature of 240°C and PU profiles are welded at a temperature of 290°C. Clamps can be removed when the material has cooled down.

Step 4. cooling
After the ends of round belts have been fused together and the material has cooled down, remove any bead at the splice, using BEHAbelt SE02 edge cutter or sharp knife. The expected cooling time is about 5-10 minutes. Shorten any cooling time by placing the belt under cold water.
