PU timing belt in profile: HTD 5M endless with welded joint, Endless assembled timing belt is also called a welded timing belt. The thermoplastic pu material from which pu timing belts are made can be heat welded (Splice timing belt) together to form an endless timing belt. A finger joint is 80 or 120 mm long depending on the timing belt profile and can achieve a tensile strength of up to 50% of an endless cast timing belt without joint. By welding an open timing belt (sold by the meter) you get an endless assembled timing belt, of any length. The area of application is primarily for conveyors and conveyor systems with and without a carrier and for material handling and long light transmissions. read more about the tensile strengths of the different timing belts, you will find them in the catalog further down the page.
PU timing belts, which are made of polyurethane, have a high wear resistance and are suitable for a wide range of applications. The timing belt is reinforced with different types of cords, which provide different tensile strengths and ensure reliable operation under different conditions.
HTD 5M polyurethane timing belts are known for their reliable transmission capacity. The belt can be coated with a layer of nylon on the tooth side (PAZ) and the back side (PAR) for extra strength. The back side can also be coated with different coatings to meet specific requirements. In addition, carriers can be mounted on the back side to solve various traction tasks.
An open timing belt can be assembled with a melting tool and adjusted to a desired length by welding the timing belt to an endless timing belt.
