ConCar V-belt - Profile AX - 13x8 MM

We offer a large selection of ConCar AX V-belts in profile 13 × 8 mm. The AX profile is a serrated version of the classic A-V-belt and is used in many common V-belt drives where a flexible, reliable and durable transmission belt is needed. An AX V-belt is particularly suitable for machines and systems where the belt must be able to work around smaller pulleys, or where a more flexible belt is desired than a traditional toothless A-profile.

ConCar AX V-belts are used in many types of machines, including industrial machines, ventilation systems, compressors, pu , garden machines, workshop machines, woodworking machines and other mechanical installations with classic belt drives. The 13 × 8 profile mm makes the AX belt an obvious choice when greater power transmission is needed than with the smaller Z and ZX profiles, but without going up to the wider B or BX profile.

One AX V-belt from ConCar has the same basic profile as a classic A-V belt, but differs in having a timing underside and Raw-Edge sides. The toothing does not function like the teeth on a timing belt and therefore does not provide synchronous operation. Instead, the toothing makes the belt more flexible and helps it bend more easily around the pulleys. This can be an advantage in belt drives with smaller pulley diameters, higher speeds or where a smoother belt movement is desired.

The power is transmitted via the sides of the belt, which are in contact with the V-groove of the pulley. It is therefore important that the belt fits correctly in the pulley, so that it has good side contact without bottoming out in the groove. When the belt is correctly positioned, the power is transmitted stably and efficiently through the friction between the belt flanks and the V-groove of the pulley. This provides smooth operation and reduces the risk of slippage, heat generation and unnecessary wear.

ConCar AX V-belts are made of durable neoprene rubber with polyester reinforcement. Neoprene rubber gives the belt flexibility and good resilience in common operating environments, while the polyester reinforcement helps the belt maintain its length under load. The Raw-Edge construction means that the sides of the belt lie directly against the pulley, providing a precise contact surface and efficient power transmission.

AX and A V-belts can replace each other in many cases, as they have the same nominal profile of 13 × 8 mm. The main difference is that the A-profile is usually toothless and fabric-wrapped, while the AX-profile is timing and has Raw-Edge sides. An AX-belt can therefore be a good alternative if the existing A-belt is working on small pulleys, is getting hot, noisy, ctiming baring or has difficulty following the belt pull correctly. However, it is always important to check both the profile, length and condition of the pulleys before choosing a replacement belt.

When choosing a new ConCar AX V-belt, you should pay attention to how the length is indicated. V-belts can be marked with inner length (Li), effective length (Ld/Lw) or outer length (La), which is why two belts with almost the same physical size can have different designations. Many AX V-belts are also marked with inch designations such as AX26.5, AX30, AX40 or AX60Therefore, always compare the marking on the old belt with the stated dimensions before ordering a new one.

The AX profile is a good choice for many classic V-belt drives where a combination of flexibility, strong side contact and stable operation is desired. The timing underside makes the belt easier to bend, while the Raw-Edge sides ensure contact with the V-groove of the pulley. This makes ConCar AX V-belts suitable for both repair, replacement and maintenance of machines that have previously had an A or AX V-belt.

Are you in doubt about which ConCar AX V-belt that fits your machine, we are happy to help. Send us a picture of the existing belt, the belt marking or information about the machine and we will find the correct replacement. We can also advise on alternative lengths and help find a suitable AX V-belt if the original belt is worn, discontinued or can no longer be read.

Convert to V-belts - Convert length from Li to Ld & La

Our online V-belt length converter is an efficient and reliable little tool for finding the desired V-belt length. The tool allows you to convert the length of the V-belt from its inner length (Li) to its effective length (Ld) and outer length (La), so you can easily choose the right size for your machine.

Using our online tool you can enter the inner length and in a few seconds get the effective length (Ld) & outer length (La). All you have to do is select your V-belt profile and enter the inner length of your V-belt.

Once you have entered these parameters, our tool will calculate the effective length (Ld) & external length (La) of the V-belt and show you the correct result. This makes it easy and quick to find the right size V-belt for your machine, so you can get back to work.
