ConCar V-belt - Profile B - 17x11 MM
We offer a large selection of V-belts in B-profile from the brand ConCar in standard profile 17 × 11 mm. The B-profile is one of the most widely used classic V-belt profiles and is developed for belt drives with moderate to high loads, where operational reliability, wear resistance and power transmission are required. B-profile V-belts are used in a wide range of machines and systems, including industrial machines, agricultural machines, ventilation systems, compressors, pu , woodworking machines and many other mechanical installations.
B-V-belts from ConCar are toothless, unlike a BX which has teeth. A BX and B-V-belt can often replace each other, as the wedge has the same dimensions, the only difference is whether it has teeth. It can be an advantage to drive with a timing belt if the diameter of the pulleys is small. The belt itself is made of durable neoprene rubber and coated with fabric that protects the belt from wear and ensures uniform contact with the V-groove of the pulley. Power is transmitted through the friction that occurs between the flanks of the belt and the V-groove of the pulley, which ensures an efficient and stable power transmission. When installed correctly, the back of the belt must be flush with the top edge of the pulley, while there may be clearance between the bottom of the belt and the bottom of the pulley. Therefore, both B-profiles (17 × 11 mm) and SPB profiles (17 × 14 mm) are used in the same pulley, as the power transmission occurs via the belt flanks and not via the belt bottom.
The B-profile is used when greater power transmission is needed than with the smaller ones Z-profiles (10 × 6 mm) and A-profiles (13 × 8 mm), but without going up to the larger one C-profile (22 × 14 mm)This makes the B-V-belt an obvious choice for many classic belt drives where a robust and reliable solution is desired.
When choosing a new B-belt, it is important to check both the profile and the length. The length can be specified as inner length (Li), effective length (Ld/Lw) or outer length (La), which is why two belts with almost the same physical length can have different designations. Many classic B-belts are also marked with inch designations such as B45, B60 or B75Therefore, always compare the marking on the existing belt with the stated dimensions before ordering a new one.
If you are unsure which ConCar B V-belt is right for your machine, we are happy to help. Send us a picture of the existing belt, the belt marking or information about the machine and we will find the correct replacement. We can also advise on alternative lengths and help you find a suitable replacement belt if the original belt is worn, discontinued or can no longer be read.
Convert to V-belts - Convert length from Li to Ld & La
Our online V-belt length converter is an efficient and reliable little tool for finding the desired V-belt length. The tool allows you to convert the length of the V-belt from its inner length (Li) to its effective length (Ld) and outer length (La), so you can easily choose the right size for your machine.
Using our online tool you can enter the inner length and in a few seconds get the effective length (Ld) & outer length (La). All you have to do is select your V-belt profile and enter the inner length of your V-belt.
Once you have entered these parameters, our tool will calculate the effective length (Ld) & external length (La) of the V-belt and show you the correct result. This makes it easy and quick to find the right size V-belt for your machine, so you can get back to work.
