ConCar V-belt - Profile BX - 17x11 MM
We offer a large selection of BX V-belts from ConCar in profile 17 x 11 mm. The BX profile is the timing version of the classic B V-belt and is used in belt drives where a flexible, reliable and durable V-belt with good power transmission is needed. A ConCar BX V-belt is suitable for many types of machines and systems, including industrial machines, agricultural machines, ventilation systems, compressors, pu , woodworking machines and other mechanical installations where the belt must work stably under load.
A BX V-belt from ConCar has the same basic profile as a classic B-V-belt, but differs in having a timing underside and Raw-Edge sides. The toothing does not function like the teeth on a timing belt and therefore does not provide synchronous operation. On the other hand, it makes the belt more flexible, so that it can more easily run around smaller pulleys and work more smoothly in belt drives, where a regular toothless B-V-belt can be more rigid. The power transmission still occurs through friction between the sides of the belt and the V-grooves of the pulley, while the timing underside helps with bending and can contribute to better heat dissipation during operation.
ConCar BX V-belts are made of durable neoprene rubber with polyester reinforcement, which helps the belt maintain its length under load. The Raw-Edge construction means that the sides of the belt lie directly against the V-groove of the pulley, which provides effective side contact and stable power transmission. When installed correctly, the belt must lie correctly in the pulley so that the power is transmitted via the flanks and not via the bottom of the belt. If the belt lies too deep or too high in the groove, this can result in poorer contact, increased heat generation, noise or uneven belt movement.
The BX profile is often used when greater flexibility is desired than with a regular B-V belt, but where a belt in the 17 x 11 mm profile is still required. This makes BX V-belts an obvious choice when replacing many classic B-belts, especially in belt drives with smaller pulley diameters, higher speeds or the need for a smoother belt path. A BX V-belt can in many cases replace a B-V-belt of the same length, as the profile has the same nominal dimensions, but it is always important to check both the pulley, length and machine requirements before choosing a replacement belt.
When choosing a new ConCar BX V-belt, it is important to check both the profile and the length. The length can be specified as inner length (Li), effective length (Ld/Lw) or outer length (La), which is why two V-belts with almost the same physical size can have different designations. Many BX V-belts are also marked with inch designations such as BX24, BX45 or BX60, where the number is often used as part of the belt's standard designation. Therefore, always compare the marking on the existing belt with the stated dimensions before ordering a new one.
If you are unsure which ConCar BX V-belt is right for your machine, we are happy to help. Send us a picture of the existing belt, the belt marking or information about the machine and we will find the correct replacement. We can also advise on alternative lengths and help you find a suitable BX V-belt if the original belt is worn, discontinued or can no longer be read.
Convert to V-belts - Convert length from Li to Ld & La
Our online V-belt length converter is an efficient and reliable little tool for finding the desired V-belt length. The tool allows you to convert the length of the V-belt from its inner length (Li) to its effective length (Ld) and outer length (La), so you can easily choose the right size for your machine.
Using our online tool you can enter the inner length and in a few seconds get the effective length (Ld) & outer length (La). All you have to do is select your V-belt profile and enter the inner length of your V-belt.
Once you have entered these parameters, our tool will calculate the effective length (Ld) & external length (La) of the V-belt and show you the correct result. This makes it easy and quick to find the right size V-belt for your machine, so you can get back to work.
