Rubber coatings
Timing belts can be provided with various coatings that affect the resistance and general properties of the timing belt. A surface coating can, among other things, increase/decrease friction, adhesion and wear resistance as well as more resistance to temperatures, chemicals, grease/oil, etc. With a surface coating, you have the opportunity to target the timing belt to more critical/demanding environments and transport tasks. Rubber coatings are particularly resistant to temperature and weather influences as well as to wear and shock, which means that a rubber coating is often used outdoors, in heavy industry. If you are in doubt about which rubber coating to choose, please contact our employees for more information.
We offer both natural rubber such as LINATEX and CORREX as well as synthetic rubber such as EPDM, elastomer and sponge rubber. Coated timing belts can be used to advantage where you want to replace traditional conveyor belt systems, as using a conveyor belt achieves high precision and performance. Coated timing belts can be assembled and welded to your desired dimensions in the event that the standard range is not sufficient. It is also possible to reprocess with e.g. vacuum holes and millings. Regardless of whether you are in the food industry with sky-high requirements for food handling, or you have your daily routine in the bulk and heavy industry, where raw strength is a necessity, we are sure to have a coating that suits your project.
