Open HTD timing belt by the meter
Megadyne Megalinear - Open PU timing belts in HTD profile.
We stock a large range of open PU timing belts in HTD profile. Timing belts in HTD profile are manufactured with a round tooth profile, which ensures high traction and performance, as the contact area on the tooth surface is larger than on a standard trapezoidal tooth profile. The round tooth profile also ensures good engagement in timing belt pulley , which makes HTD profiles particularly suitable for power transmission and transport with high loads and speeds. HTD has metric tooth pitch and is divided into pitches 3M, 5M, 8M and 14M, which is an expression of the metric distance between the teeth. Timing belts in HTD profile are manufactured in durable white thermoplastic polyurethane in 92 ShA, which is resistant to oil, grease and petrol, and is temperature resistant from -25 degrees to +80 degrees. The profile is manufactured with a steel, kevlar, stainless steel, HP (high power) or HF (high flexibility) reinforcement. An HP reinforcement increases the pulling force by 25%, making it suitable for drives with heavy and repetitive processes – and an HF reinforcement increases the flexibility, making it suitable for small pulleys and multi-shaft drives with heavy reverse bending.

HTD profiles can be advantageously equipped with a nylon coating that is mounted on the teeth or on the back of the timing belt, which improves driving characteristics and reduces noise and friction. An open HTD profile can be assembled into an endless timing belt to your desired dimensions, which can be done mechanically or by welding the timing belt together. The timing belt can either be produced with a welded finger joint, or you can buy your own welding kit and weld the timing belt yourself. You can also have the timing belt assembled mechanically with a pin joint, which makes it possible to mount the timing belt directly on the application. HTD profiles are stocked in standard widths and other belt widths can be manufactured on request. HTD 3M is available in 10, 20, 25 and 50 millimetres wide. HTD 5M is available in 10, 15, 25 and 50 millimetres wide. HTD 8M is available in 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 85 and 100 millimetre widths. HTD 14M is available in 25, 40, 55, 85, 100 and 115 millimetre widths.
