We stock a large range of open timing belts in L-profile with inch pitch. Open timing belts in L-profile are made of durable thermoplastic polyurethane 92 ShA, and with a strong reinforcement in steel, Kevlar or stainless steel. L-profiles have a tooth pitch of 9.525 millimeters, which is an expression of the metric distance between each tooth. L-profiles are stocked in standard widths of 037, 050, 075, 100, 150, 200 and 400 inches, which corresponds to 9.53, 12.7, 19.05, 25.4, 38.1, 50.8 and 101.6 millimeters. Other widths can be manufactured on request. 

 

L-profile timing belts ensure high efficiency and performance as well as high precision, as they are manufactured with a wide trapezoidal tooth profile and a recess between each tooth, which increases the flexibility and traction of the belt. L-profiles are especially intended for power transmission and medium-heavy transport. Open L-profiles can be advantageously equipped with a nylon coating on the teeth or on the back of the belt, which reduces friction and noise and improves driving characteristics.

An open L-belt can be assembled into an endless belt to your desired dimensions, which is either done mechanically or by welding the belt together. The belt can either be welded with finger joints, or you can buy your own welding kit and weld the belt yourself. You can also have the belt assembled mechanically with pin joints, which makes it possible to mount the belt directly on the application.
