HTD 8M without gap

We offer open timing belts in HTD 8M profile (total protection) with encapsulated reinforcement, which means that the timing belt cannot rust. The profile is manufactured in a waterproof design, without keyways between the teeth, which makes it suitable for use in wet areas such as car washes.

HTD 8M is manufactured with a round tooth profile, which ensures high traction and performance, as the contact area on the tooth surface is larger than on a standard trapezoidal tooth profile. Its round tooth profile also ensures good engagement in the pulley, making it suitable for power transmission and transport with high loads and speeds. The profile has a tooth pitch of 8 millimeters, which is an expression of the metric distance between each tooth, measured in millimeters – and manufactured according to ISO 13050 and DIN 7721.

 

HTD 8M timing belts total protection are made of durable white thermoplastic polyurethane in 92 ShA, and with a strong reinforcement in steel, stainless steel or Kevlar. We also offer HP (high performance) reinforcements that withstand 25% more tensile force, which is suitable for applications with repetitive processes. The durable thermoplastic material is resistant to oil, grease and petrol, and is temperature resistant from -25 degrees to +80 degrees. The profile is stocked in standard widths of 10, 15, 20, 30, 50, 85 and 100 millimeters. Other widths can be manufactured on request. HTD 8M can be assembled into an endless timing belt to your desired dimensions, which is either done mechanically or by welding the belt together. The timing belt can either be welded with finger jointing, or you can buy your own welding kit and weld the timing belt yourself. You can also have the belt assembled mechanically with a pin joint, which allows you to quickly and easily assemble the timing belt directly on the machine.
