ConCar V-belt - Profile XPC 22x18 MM
We offer a wide range of XPC V-belts from the brand ConCar in the standard profile XPC with dimensions 22 × 18 mm. The XPC profile is a heavy-duty timing narrow V-belt, developed for efficient and demanding V-belt drives, where high demands are placed on power transmission, flexibility, stable operation and long service life. ConCar XPC V-belts are used in many types of machines and systems, including industrial machines, ventilation systems, compressors, pu , agricultural machines, woodworking machines and other mechanical installations where a strong and reliable transmission belt is required.
XPC V-belts are a stronger and more flexible alternative to classic C and CX V-belts. An XPC V-belt is based on the narrow SPC profile, which can typically transmit approximately 30% more power than a regular classic C V-belt, while the timing underside makes the belt more flexible. This makes the XPC profile an obvious choice if you want to upgrade an existing belt drive without necessarily changing the pulley. C, CX, SPC and XPC V-belts can in many cases run in the same type of pulley, when the profile, length and space conditions suit the machine.
XPC V-belts from ConCar are timing, unlike an SPC V-belt, which is usually toothless and fabric-wrapped. The timing construction reduces bending resistance and makes the belt better suited for smaller pulleys, high speeds and compact belt drives. The teeth on the inside do not mean that the belt pulls on the teeth like a timing belt. The power transmission still occurs through the friction between the belt flanks and the V-grooves of the pulley.
The belt itself is made of durable neoprene rubber with polyester reinforcement, which helps the belt maintain its length during operation. The combination of a narrow profile, serrated underside and strong reinforcement results in a belt that is both flexible and efficient, while also being able to handle higher loads than many classic V-belts of the same width.
The power is transferred through the friction between the belt flanks and the V-groove of the pulley. This means that the belt must lie correctly in the pulley so that the side contact is uniform. When installed correctly, the belt must not bottom out in the pulley, as the power should not be transferred via the bottom of the belt, but via the sides. If the belt lies too deep, too high or runs crookedly in the groove, this can cause increased heat, noise, slippage or unnecessary wear on both the belt and pulleys.
The XPC profile is often used when higher power transmission is desired than with classic C or CX V-belts, but where the belt must also be more flexible than a regular fabric-wrapped SPC V-belt. With dimensions of 22 × 18 mm, the XPC is a strong and efficient profile that is well suited for larger and more loaded V-belt drives, where high load capacity, good contact surface and stable operation are desired. The timing narrow profile makes the XPC belt suitable for many systems where operational reliability, strength and efficient power transmission are important factors.
If the belt drive is particularly heavily loaded, XPC V-belts can also be purchased as a reinforced version with up to 50% higher strength. This can be an advantage on machines with high loads, many starts/stops, strong accelerations or continuous operation, where a regular standard belt wears out faster than desired. A reinforced XPC V-belt can therefore be a good choice if you want a longer service life, greater safety or better operation under demanding conditions.
When choosing a new ConCar XPC V-belt, it is important to check both the profile and the length. Here, it is important to pay special attention to the fact that different V-belt profiles are often specified in different length measurements. Classic C and CX V-belts are typically specified in internal length (Li), while SPC and XPC V-belts are usually specified in effective length (Ld/Lw). Therefore, two belts that fit the same pulley can have different length designations, even though they are close to each other in physical size in practice.
If you are changing from a standard classic C or CX V-belt to an XPC V-belt, you should therefore not only compare the number in the belt designation. A C belt, a CX belt and an XPC belt can be measured in different ways, and it can lead to incorrect choices if you only compare the length directly. Always compare the existing belt's marking with the stated measurements for Li, Ld/Lw and possibly La, or contact us if you are in doubt about which length corresponds to the old belt.
ConCar XPC V-belts are a good choice for those who want an affordable, strong and flexible V-belt for demanding V-belt drives. The timing construction, polyester reinforcement and stable XPC profile make the belt suitable for larger machines and systems where high power transmission, smaller pulleys and long service life are required.
If you are unsure which ConCar XPC V-belt is right for your machine, we are happy to help. Send us a picture of the existing belt, the belt marking or information about the machine and we will find the correct replacement. We can also advise on alternative lengths and help you find a suitable replacement belt if the original belt is worn, discontinued or can no longer be read.
Convert to V-belts - Convert length from Li to Ld & La
Our online V-belt length converter is an efficient and reliable little tool for finding the desired V-belt length. The tool allows you to convert the length of the V-belt from its inner length (Li) to its effective length (Ld) and outer length (La), so you can easily choose the right size for your machine.
Using our online tool you can enter the inner length and in a few seconds get the effective length (Ld) & outer length (La). All you have to do is select your V-belt profile and enter the inner length of your V-belt.
Once you have entered these parameters, our tool will calculate the effective length (Ld) & external length (La) of the V-belt and show you the correct result. This makes it easy and quick to find the right size V-belt for your machine, so you can get back to work.
