Description

V-belt Z58 / 10x6 x 1475 Li - ConCar

V-belt Z58 / 10x6 x 1475 Li - ConCar is a ConCar V-belt with profile Z and cross-section 10 x 6 mm. The belt is made of neoprene rubber with polyester reinforcement, so that it can work stably in a regular V-belt drive. The belt lengths are La 1513 mm, Ld 1497 mm and Li 1475 mm. The wrapped construction gives the belt a protective textile surface around the rubber.

Structure and function

The power is transmitted through the friction between the sides of the belt and the pulley. The wrapped surface protects the belt and is a common construction for classic V-belt drives.

Profile Z has a classic wedge shape, where the sides of the belt work against the V-groove of the pulley. The dimension 10 x 6 mm determines how the belt lies in the groove and where the side contact is formed.

Materials and construction

The V-belt is made of neoprene rubber with polyester reinforcement. Neoprene rubber gives the belt flexibility, while polyester reinforcement helps the belt maintain its length during operation.

The wrapped construction gives the belt a textile surface around the rubber, allowing it to run stably in classic pulleys.

The belt is antistatic. This is a practical feature in belt drives, where static electricity can build up between the belt and pulley.

The belt complies with DIN 2215 / ISO 4184.

Lengths and technical dimensions

The lengths are La 1513 mm, Ld 1497 mm and Li 1475 mm. La is the external length, Ld is the effective length and Li is the internal length.

The three length measurements are used as a reference in various belt tables and machine data. Therefore, it is useful to have all measurements together with the profile and cross section.

Pulleys and drive

The pulley groove must match profile Z so that the belt has correct side contact. If the belt is too deep or too high in the groove, the contact may be poor and cause more heat or uneven belt movement.

The wrapped surface is a classic design for V-belt drives, where the belt works with side contact in the groove. The 10 x 6 mm cross-section is therefore an important part of the product data.

Maintenance and wear

A V-belt should run with proper tension and clean pulleys. Too low a tension can cause slippage and heat, while too high a tension puts unnecessary strain on the belt, bearings and shafts.

Wear often shows as shiny sides, ctiming bars, hard rubber, frayed edges or noise under load. If there are several belts in the same pull, the belts should have the same profile and length so that they work equally.

The wrapped construction is robust, but the belt must still run in a properly aligned drive to avoid uneven wear.

Questions about the properties of the belt

What does the profile Z mean?

The profile describes the wedge shape and cross-section of the belt. For this belt, the measurement is 10 x 6 mm, and it determines how the belt fits in the V-groove of the pulley.

Why are there multiple length measurements?

La 1513 mm, Ld 1497 mm and Li 1475 mm are measured from different locations on the belt. They are used because belt series and machine data do not always use the same reference pu .

What does the polyester reinforcement do?

The polyester reinforcement helps the belt maintain its length, while the neoprene rubber provides flexibility and contact against the pulley.

How does the belt transmit power?

The force is transmitted via the sides of the belt towards the V-grooves of the pulley. The belt must therefore fit the profile of the pulley.

What does wrapped construction mean?

This means that the belt has a textile surface around the rubber. This is a common construction on classic V-belts.
