INSIL BS/2 EM6-00+00 is a white silicone conveyor belt with a visible woven structure on the carrier side, 2 polyester woven layers and a total thickness of 1.3 mm. It differs from the smooth silicone belts in that the product lies against a woven surface. The belt has a hardness of 30 Shore A and is a light high-temperature variant for process and transport tasks.
The belt is relatively transversely stable and has a tensile force of 4 N/mm at 1% prestress. The minimum roller diameter is 40 mm and the minimum diameter at counter-bending is 60 mm. The weight is approx. 1.2 kg/m², and the specified temperature range is -40 to +180 °C.
The woven surface provides a distinct textile structure instead of a closed, smooth silicone film. It changes the contact between the belt and the workpiece and can be relevant when a more open or textile-like surface is desired on a temperature-resistant process belt.
The product catalogue marks the type as approved according to EC 1935/2004 and FDA, and the AS marking indicates an antistatic design. The combination of food properties, woven surface and temperature resistance makes it technically different from both the smooth light blue 13005 and the matt white 13004.
The belt is delivered according to measurements for the specific belt conveyor or process machine. When reordering, the full type designation, width, length, roller diameter and any counter-bending should be stated so that the woven variant is not confused with a smooth or matt INSIL type.
