Silicone conveyor belt – INSIL BU/2 EM8-00+02 light blue F AS 1.3 mm – food-approved silicone belt

INSIL BU/2 EM8-00+02 is a light blue silicone conveyor belt with a smooth carrier side, 2 polyester fabric layers and a total thickness of 1.3 mm. The light blue silicone coating is 0.2 mm and has a hardness of 30 Shore A. The belt is a thin and relatively transversely stable variant for process and transport tasks where a smooth silicone surface and food properties are relevant.

Construction and technical data

The variant has a tensile force of 8 N/mm at 1% pre-tension, which is higher than the lighter EM6 silicone types. The minimum roll diameter is 40 mm and the minimum diameter when counter-bending is 60 mm. The weight of the belts is approx. 1.5 kg/m², and the specified temperature range is -20 to +90 °C.

Smooth light blue surface

The smooth light blue carrier side makes it easy to visually distinguish the belts from the product and from dark machine parts. The surface is without embossed profile and is typically chosen when a smooth contact surface combined with the grip and elasticity of silicone is desired.

Food approval and antistatic design

The product catalog marks the type as approved according to EC 1935/2004 and FDA, and the type code contains both F and AS. This makes the variant relevant in food and process plants, where a food-safe and antistatic belt type is desired. In the case of direct food contact, the finished splice and the specific cleaning process must of course also be suitable for the application.
