We stock a large range of open timing belts in Eagle profile with metric tooth pitch. Eagle profiles are available in pitches 5M, 8M, 10M and 14M, which is an expression of the metric distance between each tooth. Eagle profiles are characterised by a self-guiding, arrow-timing/inclined tooth pattern (tractor tyre pattern), which centres and secures the position of the timing belt on the pulley (making guide flanges on the pulley redundant). The belt's curved tooth profile, combined with its arrow-shaped tooth pattern, makes Eagle profiles extremely quiet (up to 15 decibels), as vibrations and shocks are absorbed. The self-guiding properties of the belt ensure a stable timing belt pull and a high power transmission and are used particularly for linear guidance and in vertical drives.

 

Eagle profile open timing belts are made of durable white thermoplastic polyurethane in 92 ShA, and with a heavy reinforcement, made of steel or Kevlar. We also offer HP (high power) and XHP (extra high power cord) reinforcements. The durable thermoplastic material is resistant to oil, grease and petrol and is temperature resistant from -25 degrees to +80 degrees. Eagle profiles are stocked in standard widths, and other belt widths can be manufactured on request. 5M is available in 12 and 25 millimetres width. 8M is available in 16, 25, 32, 50 millimetres width. 10M is available in 25, 32, 50, 75 and 100 millimetres width. 14M is available in 35, 52.5, 70 and 105 millimetres width.

Eagle timing belts can be advantageously equipped with a nylon coating that is mounted on the teeth or on the back of the timing belt, which improves driving characteristics and reduces noise and friction. An open Eagle timing belt can be assembled into an endless timing belt to your desired dimensions, which can be done mechanically, or by welding the timing belt together. The timing belt can either be produced with a welded finger joint, or you can buy your own welding kit and weld the timing belt yourself. You can also have the timing belt assembled mechanically with a pin joint, which makes it possible to easily and quickly mount the timing belt directly on the application.
