Extruded PU V-belts
We sell a wide range of extruded polyurethane ( PU ) V-belts from BEHAbelt for applications within transport and power transmission. PU V-belts are available in different hardnesses and in different profiles, including Y, M, Z, A, B, C and D-profiles, which can be manufactured to special dimensions and assembled into an endless V-belt on request. The series of V-belts is sold in smooth and timing versions, as well as in a large selection of different colors. They are used in many industries, especially the food industry, as they are resistant to chemicals while also being able to withstand both high and low temperature conditions. Their elastic properties make them compatible with small pulley diameters and ideal for drives in light transport and packaging applications.
For applications with high loads and long belt lengths, we recommend using a reinforced PU V-belt. We sell a wide range of reinforced types, which are manufactured with a reinforcement of your choice, which helps to increase the tensile strength and extend the life of the belt. Reinforced V-belts are manufactured in durable PU or TPE material and, depending on the application, they can be available with a polyester, aramid (kevlar), steel or weldable PU glass fiber reinforcement. Several of our reinforced V-belt profiles are also stocked with a center hole so that the V-belt can be assembled with a metal connector.

At FEC Consulting we offer round belts for the food industry, packaging machines and conveyors. PU round belts and PU V-belts are often seen in industries with light product transport as most round belts have limited compressive strength due to the construction of the belt.
Today, higher and higher demands are placed on round belts used in the food industry. We offer a large selection of food approvals that cover virtually all types of cleaning, and we always make a point of meeting your expectations for good customer service, so when you shop with us, you come home with the right solution the first time.

Step 1. Pruning
Trim the ends of the V-belt with BEHAbelt 's AS02 angle pliers before welding. To achieve the largest possible contact surface at the joint and the strongest splice, trim the ends of the V-belt at a 90 degree angle.

Step 2. fastening
The picture shows the RS02 fiction welding machine, which works by shaking the ends of the belt so that the ends melt and form a joint. It is also possible to use a paddle welding tool , e.g. BEHAbelt 's EErgo, BEHAbelt 's Multi TC or BEHAbelt 's Welding kitIf tools other than RS02 are used, it is necessary to use clamps such as FZ01 Vario or FZ02/3 to fix the belt before welding.

Step 3. welding
The RS02 friction machine generates heat through friction, which splices the ends of the belt together in seconds. This requires a temperature of 290°C when welding PU profiles and 240°C when welding TPE profiles. This video illustrates how the machine works.

Step 4. cleaning
After the ends of the V-belt have been fused together and the material has cooled down, remove any bead at the splice by using BEHAbelt SE02 edge cutter or a sharp knife.
